Orange Groves (Coast Line)
Der letzte Ort bevor Oakbay erreicht wird, der westliche Endpunkt, ist das kleine Orange Groves. Hier sind die beiden Zitrus-Packfirmen von Sunkist und Sierra Madre angesiedelt. Ausserdem hat Bill Logan hier seine Kistenmacher-Firma, die die Zitrus-Packfirmen beliefert. Während der Orangen-Erntezeit kann hier eine Menge Kühlwagen Verkehr beobachtet werden. Ab und zu bekommt die Kistenmacher-Firma von Bill Logan einen Flachwagen mit Endstützen (Bulkhead Flat) oder einen anderen Waggon-Typ für seine benötigten Bretter. Ausserhalb der Orangen-Saison hat Bill Logan eine Kooperation mit Oakbay's Beerdigungsunternehmen.Eine technische Raffinesse sind die um 4 mm (entspricht 88 cm im Original) vorbildgerecht tiefer gelegten Anschlussgleise der Industrien. Eine Weiche ist abfallend in der Böschung eingebaut!
The last town before reaching Oakbay, the west end point, is the little Orange Groves. Not only two Fruit Packing Industries, Sunkist and Sierra Madre Packing, are located at the tracks but also the Crate Factory of Bill Logan who's customers are the fruit packers . During the orange season a lot of reefer traffic can be spotted here. From time to time Logan's Crate Factory gets a bulkhead flat or other car type with his needed lumber. If there is no orange season Bill Logan has a deal with Oakbay's undertaker.A technical sophistication are the by 4 mm (equivalent to 88 cm in original) prototypically lowered spurs of the industries. One switch is built into the sloping embankment!
